Reminding me of Sahara Surfers & Luder with some QOTSA guitar sounds, the licks come sweet & fast. Great driving music & a must for all Stone Rock connoisseurs. Favorite track: The Sun.

"The Sun" is the second LP from Puta Volcano, the rock band from Athens, Greece. They call their music volcanic rock, due mostly to the nature of the procedure they follow making it, and not necessarilly to the music itself. Their songs, their energy and their impulsiveness erupts out of them like lava from a volcano. But their powerful psychedelic sound also feels like it's coming from some volcanic desert in the middle of nowhere.
Luna's vigorous voice, Alex's shuddering guitar, Alex's imposing bass and Steve's "louder than bombs" drums will make you wanna leave for a road trip to California's Death Valley, with just this LP playing on the radio.
